Minnie Pwerle is one of the most celebrated Aboriginal Artist of Australia. Her paintings are raw, bold and active! I have seen her paintings from time to time in interior photos, and great to see it being translated into the gorgeous rugs by Designer Rugs!
“The Atnwengerrp (Land of Dreamings) collection is a depiction of the patterns and designs painted on the top half of the women’s bodies during ceremonies in their country of Atnwengerrp. Minnie passed away in 2006.”
